The Philadelphia Eagles have made some splashy choices during the 2026 NFL Draft so far. No surprise there. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman selected WR Makai Lemon in the first round, further signaling a potential A.J. Brown trade. On day two, he traded for Pro Bowl edge rusher Jonathan Greenard and drafted tight end Eli Stowers and offensive tackle Markel Bell with the draft capital remaining between rounds two and three. Now, we look ahead. The Eagles currently hold just two more picks in this draft.
The Eagles go with a veteran safety on day three after not addressing the position so far. Moore is 25 years old, so he comes in a bit more experienced than other options. He’s a football magnet and produced at a high level with the Hoosiers.
The Eagles lack upside at the safety position right now, so this sort of pick should not prevent them from looking at trade or free agent options once the draft is over, either. Regardless, Moore would be a smart addition and good value at this spot in the fifth round.

Gentry is over 6’6 and provides unbelievable length at the position. He’s agile at his stature and attacks with a fierceness. The Trojans product is truly what you would call a project sort of day three pick. His size and speed combo are enticing, and at minimum, he could be a fun special teams asset for any team. For the Eagles, they do not shy away from dynamic athletes, and Roseman could try to find a physical freak of nature as a hidden gem late on day three here.

The Eagles should add kicker competition either late on day 3 or during the UDFA period. Stevens is one of the top boots in the class and could be the long-term replacement for Jake Elliott if given the chance in the pros. He was a popular prospect amongst NFL teams during the pre-draft process. “Stevens played four seasons with the Hawkeyes, maintaining an 80 percent field goal percentage, including 12 made from beyond 50 yards. In 2025, Stevens made four field goals from beyond 50 yards and his longest was 58 yards, earning an 87.3 PFF field goal grade, which ranked 26th out of 253 eligible college kickers.” — SI.com
