The Philadelphia Eagles are making a move to bolster their receiving corps, acquiring wideout Dontayvion Wicks from the Green Bay Packers. In exchange, the Packers will receive a fifth-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft and a sixth-round selection in 2027.
Wicks, who turns 25 in June, was a fifth-round pick by Green Bay in 2023. Over his three seasons, he has developed into a reliable target, amassing 108 catches for 1,328 yards and 11 touchdowns in 46 career games.
This trade shakes up the depth chart in Philadelphia. While A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith remain the established top options, Wicks is now poised to compete for the vital WR3 role alongside newcomers like Hollywood Brown, Johnny Wilson, and Darius Cooper. The addition could signal further changes, potentially making the veteran Brown more expendable as the Eagles have reportedly listened to trade offers for the three-time Pro Bowler.
For the Eagles, this is a strategic play to add a young, proven talent to an already dynamic offense, giving quarterback Jalen Hurts another weapon as they look to contend in the NFC.
