The Eagles were busy on Friday night and will now go into Day 3 of the NFL Draft with two remaining picks.
Howie Roseman used the team’s first three draft picks on offensive players, and after taking WR Makai Lemon in the first round, they picked up TE Eli Stowers at No. 54 and then OT Markel Bell at No. 68 on Day 2. In between those selections, they also finalized a trade with the Vikings for Jonathan Greenard, and signed the edge rusher to a 4-year, $100 million contract.
The team only has one fifth rounder and one sixth rounder left, but Roseman is known to make the most of undrafted free agents after the event. He’s also the first to remind fans that roster building doesn’t end with the draft, and how things shake out this weekend, will impact some of the decisions they’ll make in the coming weeks and months.
Round 1: No. 20 — WR Makai Lemon (traded up from No. 23)
Round 3: No. 98 — traded to the Vikings for Jonathan Greenard
Round 4: No. 114 — traded to the Cowboys in Round 1
Round 4: No. 137 — traded to the Cowboys in Round 1
