The Eagles are expected to make a trade before or during the draft, according to an ESPN report.
Keep an eye on the latest development with Vikings edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. According to ESPN, that’s who league executives believe the Eagles are potentially pursuing. The Eagles have talked with the Vikings about trading for Greenard at various points this offseason, per ESPN.
Those talks have slowed down in recent weeks, but ESPN reported they could pick up during the draft. Minnesota could ask for a second or third-round pick in exchange for Greenard, who was one of the NFL’s best pass rushers two years ago.
Greenard recorded 12 sacks in 2024 and 12.5 sacks in 2023. He only played in 12 games last season due to a shoulder injury and managed three sacks. He will try to bounce back next season and prove he’s still an elite rusher.
The Eagles could pair Greenard with Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith in the pass-rush rotation. He would be the team’s No. 1 pass rusher next season.
ESPN reported the Eagles also have a wish list of trade candidates that aren’t Greenard.
