When I look back at last year's Dynasty content, one name stood above all others in the 2025 class: Harold Fannin Jr. I had him ranked a full round higher than consensus in rookie drafts, and boy, did he deliver. Despite playing in an absolutely brutal offensive environment—the Browns finished 31st in passing yards and 30th in passing touchdowns—Fannin still managed 72 catches for 731 yards and six scores. That's top-10 tight end production in a system that was, frankly, a mess. Remarkable stuff.

But here's the thing about Dynasty football: things change fast. And unfortunately for Fannin, very little has gone his way since that breakout season. First, Kevin Stefanski—arguably one of the most tight-end-friendly head coaches in the entire NFL—is out in Cleveland. The quarterback room? No real upgrades there either. Then came the NFL Draft, where the Browns used two top-40 picks on wide receivers. KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston are now in the mix, and while Concepcion might be the bigger threat to Fannin's target share, there's no question the receiver room just got a whole lot more crowded. It's hard to see Fannin as anything other than an offseason loser, even if I still believe he's a phenomenal player with a bright future.

Back in January, I had Fannin ranked as my Dynasty TE4—behind only Brock Bowers, Tyler Warren, and Colston Loveland. Today? He's down to TE8. Now, before you panic, let me put that slide in perspective: on the trade chart, he's actually closer to TE4 (Tyler Warren) than he is to TE10 (Oronde Gadsden). So the drop is a bit overblown in pure value terms. But it's a drop nonetheless, and I've felt it in recent trade talks. I reached out to a team that had Tucker Kraft, Kyle Pitts, and Fannin on their roster and asked which one would come cheapest. The answer? Fannin.

Meanwhile, the tight end landscape is shifting in interesting ways. Kyle Pitts is now playing for Stefanski in Atlanta, making him one of the biggest offseason risers. Sam LaPorta is another name on the move—he'll be catching passes from Drew Petzig, a Stefanski disciple who oversaw Trey McBride's explosive rise in Arizona. Both of those offenses have the potential to be far more tight-end-centric than what the Browns can offer right now.

And let's not forget the elephant in the room: Cleveland's quarterback situation. I said they didn't upgrade the room, but they did get Deshaun Watson back. Whether that's a positive or a negative for Fannin's outlook? Well, that's a whole different conversation. For now, Fannin remains an incredibly talented player in a less-than-ideal situation—a classic Dynasty hold with plenty of upside, but a clear faller in the rankings.
