Earlier this week, we asked if Dusty May is the greatest Michigan men’s basketball coach of all-time. And now the results are in.
56% of voters believe May is already the best coach in Michigan basketball history after winning a National Championship over UConn on Monday night.
Michigan just went 37-3 this season, and May’s record at Michigan is 64-13 through two seasons. John Beilein won 278 games at Michigan and had two national title appearances, while Steve Fisher had one national title win in 1989 and three title appearances overall. May receiving just 56% of the votes shows that a lot of fans also believe that Beilein and Fisher deserve their flowers.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, Michigan is the early favorite to win the national championship next season, with odds currently at +600.
