Duke men's basketball is making history with a groundbreaking new partnership that brings the Blue Devils to Prime Video. Starting in the 2026-27 season, Amazon's streaming service will exclusively broadcast three of Duke's marquee neutral-site nonconference games each year under a multi-year deal.

The action tips off with a heavyweight showdown against UConn in Las Vegas on November 25, followed by a clash with reigning champion Michigan at Madison Square Garden on December 21, and a February 20 matchup against Gonzaga in Detroit. These games mark the first-ever college sports broadcasts on Prime Video, signaling a major shift in how fans watch live collegiate athletics.

Beyond the hardwood, the partnership includes extensive NIL opportunities for Duke athletes and is part of a broader retail collaboration with Amazon expected to be announced soon. Duke athletic director Nina King expressed excitement about the initiative, noting it complements the program's longstanding relationship with ESPN. "In addition to our outstanding partnership with ESPN, we are excited to work with Prime Video on this groundbreaking initiative," King said.

Amazon is no stranger to live sports, having broadcast NFL games since 2017 and securing exclusive rights to Thursday Night Football through 2033. The streaming giant also began an 11-year media rights agreement with the NBA this season. This move into college basketball could be a harbinger of things to come, as streaming services are expected to become more aggressive in acquiring collegiate sports rights in future negotiations.

Duke worked closely with the ACC and ESPN on scheduling adjustments to accommodate the three neutral-site games, including commitments to participate in select ESPN-owned events during the 2027-28 and 2028-29 seasons. For Blue Devils fans, this means more ways to catch their team in action—and a glimpse into the future of college sports broadcasting.
