Former Duke Blue Devil Luke Kennard had a game to remember Saturday night, torching the Houston Rockets with 27 points on a perfect night from three-point range (5-for-5).
Following the game, another former Duke Blue Devil, JJ Redick, spoke on Kennard's impressive performance.
"I just like that he was aggressive shooting threes. I mean, he played a fantastic basketball game," said the Lakers head coach.
Normally known for his shooting alone, Kennard has been given an increased role in the absence of both Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, Los Angeles' top two scorers during the regular season.
Looking ahead, the two-year Duke alum will have another opportunity to showcase his scoring Tuesday in Game 2.
