Hot bat alert! Frisco RoughRiders outfielder Dylan Dreiling has been tearing it up, earning the Texas League Player of the Week honor for May 4–10. The 23-year-old lefty slugger put on a show against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, posting a ridiculous .368/.520/1.000 slash line over five games. In just 25 plate appearances, he crushed four home runs, drew six walks, and struck out only once—a recipe for pure dominance.

Dreiling, a second-round pick in the 2024 MLB Draft out of the University of Tennessee, has been heating up all season. Through 108 plate appearances, he's slashing .300/.398/.511 with 16 walks and 21 strikeouts, showing off the plate discipline and power that made him a top prospect. Last year at High-A Hub City, he hit .226/.319/.381 before turning heads in the Arizona Fall League with a .271/.364/.438 line.

While Dreiling played mostly left field in college, he's been patrolling center field as a pro—showing versatility that scouts love. Selected 65th overall in 2024, he was the Rangers' second pick that year, right behind catcher Malcolm Moore. If this hot streak continues, Dreiling's name will be one to watch as he climbs the minor league ladder. Keep an eye on this RoughRider—he's built for the big stage.
