Borussia Dortmund's injury woes continue as defender Ramy Bensebaini is set to miss the remainder of the Bundesliga season, leaving the Black and Yellows short-handed for their crucial final two matches against Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Dortmund head coach Niko Kovač delivered the disappointing news about the Algerian left-back, confirming he will sit out Friday's clash with Eintracht Frankfurt. "Ramy won't make it. He is still having pain in his foot," Kovač revealed, adding a grim prognosis for the season finale. "I personally don't think he will be ready for the next game in Bremen either, so that's likely it for him in the Bundesliga for now."

However, it's not all bad news for the Signal Iduna Park faithful. In a boost to Dortmund's squad depth, attacking dynamo Karim Adeyemi, defensive stalwart Niklas Süle, and midfield engine Felix Nmecha are all making encouraging progress in their recoveries from injury. The latter two are even in contention for a spot in the matchday squad against Eintracht, pending their performance in the final training session before kickoff.

"Tomorrow we still have one more session to determine whether Niki and Felix will be fit enough for the weekend," Kovač explained, leaving the door open for their potential return. With Bensebaini sidelined, Dortmund will be hoping their returning stars can provide the spark needed to finish the season on a high note—and perhaps give fans a glimpse of the depth that could make all the difference in next year's campaign.
