Dominik Szoboszlai has publicly backed Liverpool manager Arne Slot, silencing rumors of dressing room unrest during a turbulent 2025/26 season. The Reds have endured 11 Premier League defeats—their worst tally since the 2014/15 campaign—but the Hungarian midfielder insists the squad remains united behind their coach.
"That's not a question at all. He's our manager. And we are in his second season. In his first season, don't forget, we won the Premier League. So no one lost faith in him from our side," Szoboszlai said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
Slot took over from Jürgen Klopp in May 2024 and immediately delivered a league title—Liverpool's first since 2020—playing an aggressive, high-energy brand of football that thrilled fans and players alike. This season, however, has been a different story. The departures of key figures like Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez, along with a reshuffled lineup, have stripped the team of the intensity that defined their championship run. Andy Robertson's reduced role has also been a notable shift.
Despite the struggles, Liverpool's management continues to back Slot, and Szoboszlai's comments underscore a crucial point: last season's success hasn't been forgotten. The midfielder, one of the few consistent performers this term, is determined to help steer the club back on track. For now, the message from the dressing room is clear—faith in the manager remains unshaken.
