After taking two Texas Tech players to start their Day-2 selections in the 2026 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins turned to the Big Ten later in the third round.

With pick No. 87, the Dolphins took Ohio State tight end Will Kacmarek.

Kacmarek, 23, was a two-star recruit out of Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School in Ladue, Missouri, before splitting his collegiate career between Ohio and Ohio State, where he won a national championship in 2024.

In 55 games over five years, Kacmarek caught 65 passes for 761 yards and four touchdowns.

Miami needed a tight end after losing Darren Waller this offseason, but Kacmarek is more of a blocker than a pass-catcher.
