The Miami Dolphins still had a few members of their 2025 roster still unsigned on the market, but one of those players found a new team on Wednesday.

The Miami Dolphins' 2025 roster continues to shrink in free agency, as another familiar face has found a new home. On Wednesday, former Dolphins defensive lineman Benito Jones signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jones, 28, originally joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss in 2020, where he played from 2016 to 2019. After two seasons in Miami, he finished his rookie contract with the Detroit Lions before returning to South Florida for the past two years. Now, he's heading to the AFC West to bolster the Raiders' defensive line.

During his two stints with the Dolphins, Jones appeared in 37 games, recording 41 tackles (seven for a loss), four quarterback hits, one sack, and one pass defensed. His 2025 campaign was cut short due to a season-ending back injury, but the Raiders are clearly banking on his return to form.

For Dolphins fans, this departure is a reminder of the ongoing roster churn as the team prepares for the 2026 season. With several 2025 players still unsigned, Miami's front office has work to do to fill the gaps. Whether you're stocking up on new gear for the upcoming season or just keeping tabs on former players, this move adds another layer to the AFC West rivalry.
