The Diego Pavia sweepstakes has finally come to an end. The 25-year-old undrafted quarterback has signed a three-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, according to Adam Schefter. He will get a chance in the NFL after all.

Pavia follows Jalon Daniels (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Haynes King (Carolina Panthers) as UDFA quarterbacks who found NFL homes post-draft. He will compete with fellow undrafted addition Joe Fagnano for the third quarterback spot behind Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.

In 2025, Pavia finished second in the 2025 Heisman race behind Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, becoming the first Heisman finalist since Jordan Lynch in 2014 to not get drafted.

Diego Pavia’s draft journey has been full of antics. The 2025 Heisman runner-up wasn’t drafted in the 2026 NFL draft, partially due to his physical limitations. He stands at just 5-foot-9, shorter than any starting NFL quarterback, and his 40-yard dash of 4.76 seconds wasn’t anything to write home about.

Another big reason why he didn’t get drafted was his character issues. He’s shown that he can be a sore loser many times.

After losing the Heisman trophy, he was shown at a New York City nightclub next to a sign that read “F*** Indiana.” He then posted on his social media, “F*** all the voters.”

Then, weeks before the NFL draft, a video came out of Pavia throwing cash at a dancer in an Albuquerque gentlemen’s club until 5 a.m.. There was also an incident during his time at New Mexico State, where he urinated on the New Mexico logo in the Lobos indoor facility.

The poor size and frame, plus the poor character, are why Pavia didn’t get drafted in the NFL. Still, with his talent, he got a shot with the Baltimore Ravens. Pavia will need to tighten his act to make the 53-man roster.
