Did Zuffa Boxing Just Sign Stevenson and Haney?

The boxing world is buzzing with speculation after Dana White and Turki Alalshikh made waves by locking down Conor Benn for a reported $15 million one-fight deal—and then quickly extending him with a long-term contract under Zuffa Boxing. But it seems the powerhouse promoters are far from done building their roster. Recent rumors suggest that two of the sport's biggest names—WBC Lightweight and WBO and Ring Junior Welterweight champion Shakur Stevenson, along with WBO Welterweight champion Devin Haney—have also joined the upstart promotion.

During last night's Zuffa Boxing 6 post-fight press conference in Las Vegas, White addressed the speculation with a knowing grin. When asked directly about Stevenson, he teased, "Did we announce the Shakur Stevenson signing? No? Possibly. Listen, at the end of the day, I think everybody is going to be here at Zuffa Boxing." Pressed further on Haney, White's smile only grew wider: "I think everybody is going to be at Zuffa Boxing, eventually. Like I said at our first press conference, judge us by our body of work as we head into 2027. I don't know why I would say things that aren't true." He added, "Look at what we've done in just four months—tonight was a great card, and they're only going to get better."

The rumors gained even more traction last week when Devin Haney's father, Bill Haney, teased on social media that his son had inked a massive new deal: "New deal worth over 100 million before 30 years old? Who's your manager?"

If these signings come to pass, don't expect Stevenson and Haney to compete at the Meta Apex. Instead, a joint boxing venture—similar to the event where Conor Benn faced Regis Prograis as the co-main to Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov in London, live on Netflix—seems far more fitting. At the end of the day, potential mega-signings like these mean the future of Zuffa Boxing is looking brighter—and bigger—than ever.
