Cardiff Devils eased into the Elite League Play-off finals weekend with a comfortable 4-1 win against Coventry Blaze that earned a 6-2 two-leg quarter-final aggregate triumph.

The Cardiff Devils are heading to Nottingham! With a commanding 4-1 victory over the Coventry Blaze at Vindico Arena, they secured a decisive 6-2 aggregate win in their Elite League Play-off quarter-final, booking their spot at the finals weekend.

From the opening face-off, the Devils set a blistering pace. Kohen Olischefski electrified the home crowd with a goal just 39 seconds into the game, and Josh MacDonald quickly doubled the lead. The momentum never shifted, with Joey Martin and Riley Brandt adding two more to build an insurmountable 4-0 lead through two periods. A late consolation goal from Coventry's William Boysen did little to dampen the celebration as the Devils closed out the series in style.

This win takes on even greater significance following a major upset elsewhere. The league champion Belfast Giants were unexpectedly eliminated by the eighth-seeded Glasgow Clan, making the Devils the highest remaining seed in the tournament. They will now face those very same Glasgow Clan in the first semi-final on Saturday, April 18th.

With the path to the final now clear, the Devils are in a prime position to chase their first domestic trophy in four years. The winner of their clash with Glasgow will advance to face either the Sheffield Steelers or Manchester Storm in what promises to be a thrilling championship final next Sunday.
