ATLANTA – Detroit Tigers right-hander Casey Mize appears to be injured.
Joined by head athletic trainer Ryne Eubanks, Mize walked off the mound, down the dugout steps and into the clubhouse with one out in the third inning Tuesday, April 28, against the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park.

It happened after he fielded a grounder and flipped the ball to first baseman Spencer Torkelson to record the first out of the inning. He didn't appear to be in discomfort while making the play.
Eubanks and manager A.J. Hinch visited Mize before his departure.
