The Lions have shown interest in many Wolverines during this draft process including Donaven McCulley, Jaishawn Barham, and Marlin Klein.

Jimmy Rolder is another Michigan prospect who the Lions may have had a Top-30 visit with. He could be in play for the Lions in the mid-rounds.

Here is the excerpt from my Jimmy Rolder Medical Report:

(Ages in parentheses are at start of 2026 season and are factored into the concern level. Injury info and ages based on available public information are unverified and subject to update. Games played data courtesy of sports-reference.com.)

Projected round 3-4. Matt Miller’s #100 overall player. Suspected Top-30 visit with Lions.

2025: 12/13 games. Unspecified injury, missed 1 game.

2024: 12/13 games. Multiple minor injuries for “little stuff”

Rolder showed nice flashes of playmaking ability at Michigan in his final season. However, last year he missed time due to an unspecified injury which has been a recurrent theme for him in college. All these injuries will need to be clarified and evaluated by medical which may have been the main reason for his Lions’ visit.

His age is good, so if these vague injuries are minor and healable, then he’s a fairly low-risk prospect.
