Roberto De Zerbi is issuing a bold rallying cry to his Tottenham squad, declaring they have the quality to win all five of their remaining Premier League fixtures. This show of confidence comes despite a frustrating 2-2 home draw with Brighton that extended Spurs' wait for a league victory.
The match itself was a rollercoaster, with Xavi Simons putting Tottenham ahead late, only for Georginio Rutter to snatch a stoppage-time equalizer for the visitors. In the face of this disappointment, De Zerbi's message was unequivocally forward-looking.
"We have another five games, 15 points, and this team is able to win five games in a row," the manager stated. "Now it’s difficult to hear my words but if you watch the players, if you analyse their level, I think we can do it. Not to be arrogant, but we have the qualities to fight and to win games in a row."
De Zerbi's challenge extends beyond tactics, demanding a specific mentality from his team. He insists his players must report for training with positivity, framing their profession as a privilege. "They have to come in on Monday with a smile because otherwise they go immediately," he emphasized. "We are lucky to work in a big club, in the Premier League. I don’t like people who cry or think in a negative way."
With the season reaching its climax, De Zerbi is clearly aiming to harness this defiant optimism to fuel a strong finish, testing his team's resilience and belief during the final run-in.
