David Raya has officially secured at least a share of the Premier League's 2025/26 Golden Glove award—and he's in prime position to claim it outright. The Arsenal shot-stopper has been in sensational form all season, and his latest milestone cements his place among the Premier League's elite goalkeepers.

Monday night's dramatic 3-3 draw between Manchester City and Everton had major implications for the title race, but it also delivered a key moment for the Golden Glove race. When Everton's Thierno Barry found the net past Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 68th minute, it ended the City keeper's hopes of finishing the season with five straight clean sheets. That single goal meant Donnarumma's maximum possible total is now 17 clean sheets—and no other goalkeeper can surpass 15 except Raya, who already has 17.

Here's the math: even if Arsenal concede in every remaining match and Donnarumma keeps four clean sheets, both goalkeepers would finish level on 17. That guarantees Raya at least a share of the Golden Glove. But if Donnarumma concedes again, misses a game, or Raya records one more shutout, the Arsenal man wins it outright. With three matches still to play, the odds are firmly in his favor.

This marks Raya's third consecutive Golden Glove, following 16 clean sheets in 2023/24 and 13 in 2024/25. His current tally of 17 is already a personal best—and he still has three games to extend it. That puts him in rarefied air: only three other goalkeepers have won the award three years running—Pepe Reina (2005–08), Joe Hart (2010–13), and Ederson (2019–22). Raya has now joined that exclusive club, and he has a chance to become the first to win it four times in a row next season.

Of course, no goalkeeper succeeds alone. The defensive partnership of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães has been a fortress in front of Raya, making life difficult for attackers across the league. But goalkeepers rarely get their moment in the spotlight, so let's give Raya his due. He's also already claimed the most clean sheets in the Champions League this season—a double achievement that speaks volumes about his consistency and composure under pressure.

Congratulations to David Raya on a historic season. Here's to a few more clean sheets before the curtain falls.
