GRAY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The court at Daniel Boone High School is about to get a major infusion of collegiate-level expertise as the Trailblazers officially name Ryan Booher their next head volleyball coach.
Leaving behind a storied tenure at King University, Booher arrives with a reputation for winning and a resume packed with Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year honors.
During his time leading both the men’s and women’s programs at King, Booher transformed the Tornado into a regional powerhouse, racking up conference championships and national tournament appearances.
Now, he’s trading the college sidelines for the high school ranks, bringing a wealth of experience to a Trailblazer program hungry for its own taste of excellence.
Athletic Director Danny Good highlighted that Booher was chosen not just for his tactical mind, but for his character. He described Booher as an exceptional teacher whose commitment to developing student-athletes off the court matches the school’s core values.
For Booher, a King University graduate with deep roots in Northeast Tennessee, the move feels like a natural next step in a career dedicated to the local volleyball community.
As he prepares to take the reins, Booher is focused on more than just the scoreboard. He expressed his honor in joining the Trailblazer family, noting that he aims to build a culture defined by accountability and hard work.
With his background in regional club programs and his proven track record of success, the future looks bright for Daniel Boone as they look to elevate their game and compete at the highest level in the region.
