While the boxing world gears up for a major fight in Egypt, White will be staying put in Las Vegas to attend a different kind of showdown—one that blends sports, entertainment, and a little bit of chaos.
The event, called Brand Risk 14, is promoted by popular streamer Adin Ross and will take place at the UFC Apex, the MMA organization's state-of-the-art venue. Since launching in 2024, Brand Risk has made a name for itself with viral boxing matches featuring celebrities and social media personalities, including a standout bout between adult film actors Jason Luv and Adam22. But on May 23, the series is stepping into new territory: its first-ever MMA event.
The main event is already generating buzz, pitting former NFL star and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel against influencer Bob Menery. It's a matchup that has caught White's eye—and his wallet. The UFC boss has put $10,000 on the line, betting that Menery won't even show up to fight.
"So you guys have seen all the stuff that's gone on with me and Nelk and Bob Menery over the years," White said. "Menery is back, and he has supposedly signed a deal on Adin Ross' fight show down in Miami to fight Johnny Manziel. Menery hits me up and says, 'Who are you betting on?' I said, 'I'm betting on you don't even show up. That's my bet.' Menery never does anything he says he's going to do."
White didn't stop there. He noted that Polymarket, a betting platform, has already set odds on whether Menery will actually step into the cage. "There's no way 49 percent of people believe in Bob Menery and that he's going to show up," White added. "There's no way in hell. So I'm betting $10,000 Menery does not show up. And Bob, if you do and the night before it looks like you're going to fight, I'm flying to Miami to watch this one."
Reid Boxing is handling promotional duties for the card, and the full lineup promises a mix of personalities and raw competition. Whether Menery makes it to the cage or not, this event is already shaping up to be a must-watch for fight fans and sports culture enthusiasts alike.
