Brighton & Hove Albion manager Dario Vidosic is keeping his eyes firmly on the prize—but not the one you might expect. Fresh off a dramatic FA Cup semi-final victory over Liverpool last weekend, Vidosic insists his focus remains squarely on the Women's Super League (WSL) as the Seagulls aim to cap off what could be their "best season ever."
With the FA Cup final against Manchester City set for May 31, Brighton first must navigate their final league fixture on Saturday: a home clash against fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. A win would push Brighton to 29 points, surpassing their previous WSL best of 28 points set just last season under Vidosic's guidance.
"I don't want to talk about the FA Cup final—I haven't really thought about it because we've got a very tough opponent on Saturday," Vidosic said. "We want to finish the season on the most positive note. We've got the potential to have our best season ever. There's a lot on the line for us. If we tried to turn our attention to a game two weeks down the line, it wouldn't end nicely for us tomorrow."
The timing works in Brighton's favor: with the cup final still two weeks away, Vidosic can field his strongest XI on Saturday, giving his players ample recovery time before the big day at Wembley. But make no mistake—the manager is taking Spurs seriously.
"They've got a really exciting team," Vidosic said of Tottenham. "They made some great signings throughout the season, and they have some young talent that I think will become household names very quickly—both in this league and around the world."
For Brighton, Saturday isn't just about ending the league season on a high—it's about etching their name into the club's history books. And for fans, that means one more chance to see their Seagulls soar before the cup final spotlight shines.
