Hey there, Saints fans! A new voice is joining the team here at Canal Street Chronicles, and he's one of our own. Please give a warm Who Dat welcome to Anthony Parker—or as he prefers, just call him AP.
Born and raised in New Orleans, AP is a true local: a Brother Martin High School graduate, an LSU attendee, a dedicated husband and father of three, and a veteran of the service industry. But above all, he's a lifelong Saints fan who understands the profound connection between this team and the soul of our city and region.
His fandom runs deep, from the "Aints" era when paper bags were the unofficial headgear to the unforgettable thrill of witnessing a Super Bowl victory that proved anything is possible. He's lived the full emotional spectrum inside the Caesars Superdome, from the agony of being present for the infamous "No Call" to the joy of watching Drew Brees carve up defenses in record-setting fashion.
Now, he's bringing that passion and perspective to the written word. AP's path to sports writing has been anything but traditional, a journey he fully embraces. After years of keeping his love for writing and sports as separate passions, he decided to merge them, launching the "Timeouts and Tangents" podcast with the support of his family.
We're thrilled to have AP's authentic voice and firsthand fan experience as part of our coverage. He knows what it means to wear the Black and Gold, and he's ready to share that insight with all of you. Welcome to the team, AP!
