Creekside girls track and field didn't own an event victory Saturday, until the concluding relay that helped win it all at the FHSAA Class 4A meet.

The Creekside girls track and field team turned a day of near misses into a championship moment for the ages. Despite not securing a single event victory through most of the FHSAA Class 4A meet, the Knights saved their best performance for the final race—and it couldn't have come at a better time.

On a stormy Saturday at Hodges Stadium, the 4x400-meter relay team of Parris Lee, Madalynn Clark, Milica Gobec, and Sofia Killin delivered a near-flawless performance in the last girls race of the night. Exchange after exchange, lap after lap, they pulled away from the field to capture the race that mattered most—clinching the team title for Creekside.

The victory marks the Knights' second FHSAA team championship in just three years, a testament to the depth and resilience of this squad. While other athletes shined individually—like Bartram Trail's Avery Hartley placing third in the 1600-meter run and Oakleaf's Rayna Autry impressing in shot put—Creekside proved that team success is built on collective effort, not just individual glory.

From the opening gun to the final exchange, this championship was a masterclass in perseverance. The Knights didn't just win; they showed what it means to keep pushing until the very last moment. For a team that came so close all day, that final relay was nothing short of really amazing.
