The Dallas Cowboys' draft plans for most will involve the franchise going heavily on defense for new coordinator Christian Parker.
Given that the Cowboys' approach this offseason has been vastly different from how the franchise has done it in the past, with a much more thorough hiring process and free-agent plans.
All were made with Brian Schottenheimer and then Parker in mind.
Dallas has made several key signings this offseason, with Jalen Thompson, Cobie Durant, and Rashan Gary seen as the new starters, but the draft is where many hope everything will come together nicely.
But it appears that Parker might have a little more influence in the draft than initially thought. Yes, it is a collaborative effort involving the entire front office.

However, for CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, he's been told that Parker will be a key voice in who the franchise takes.
"The influence new defensive coordinator Christian Parker will have on what the Cowboys do is significant, I'm told," Jones wrote. "Jerry Jones believes Parker's hire is a coup for the team, and they are listening closely to what the first-time DC has to say about these prospects.
"Parker is just 34 years old and hardly a household name, but he will have a major say in what the most popular NFL team does next week at picks No. 12 and 20."

Of course, most know that while Parker might put forth who he thinks is a fit at No. 12 and No. 20, it will be Jerry Jones who has the final say - at least in "rubber-stamp'' form.
But the fact that Parker is going to have a big voice means the franchise has full faith to, at least in part, let him be the driver of the draft.
Again, it's a group effort, but going by Jones' comments, Parker will be the one who the Cowboys will be listening to regarding draft prospects.
Granted, this could also be because Dallas' first two selections are likely to be on defensive players, but still, the franchise is showing confidence in the first-time defensive coordinator.
It looms as a pivotal and potentially defining draft for the Cowboys, and it will be largely influenced by the drive of Parker.
