As we gear up for the Cowboys' 2026 training camp, excitement is building around the roster—and no player might be more intriguing to watch than starting guard Tyler Booker. With camp just three months away in Oxnard, California, it's the perfect time to dive into the team's roster and highlight the key figures who will shape the season.
Of course, a lot can change between now and late July. Roster moves, draft aftermath, June 1st cuts, and even summer injuries could shuffle the lineup. But for our first profile, it would take something extraordinary to keep Booker from reporting to camp.
Booker enters his second NFL season after being selected by Dallas in the first round of the 2025 draft. At the time, guard wasn't the Cowboys' most glaring need—especially with bigger question marks at cornerback and defensive tackle. Yet, when the draft board fell their way at pick 12, Dallas didn't hesitate to grab the Alabama standout to fill the void left by the legendary Zack Martin's retirement.
Some questioned using such a high pick on another interior lineman, especially with Tyler Smith already an All-Pro at left guard and Cooper Beebe entering his second year at center. But the Cowboys weren't content to leave the right guard spot to chance. Instead, they bet on Booker's talent and immediately installed him as the heir to one of the franchise's most iconic positions.
Now, with a season under his belt, it's going to be fun to see how Booker builds on his rookie campaign and anchors the offensive line for years to come.
