The 2026 NFL Draft is loaded on the defensive side of the ball, and one major strength is in the secondary at safety. Cornerback feels slightly top-heavy, but there is quality depth to be found. The secondary is the final area of the field we have to hit in terms of positional groups, and we will be going over the top ten cornerbacks and top ten safeties, starting with the former:

If the medicals weren't so bad (as being reported), McCoy would be my CB1. But with so many reports about his knee not being close to 100% after tearing his ACL in January of 2025, there are major concerns. Chris Johnson deserves all the flowers he can get as a pure shutdown cornerback. Terrell, brother of Falcons cornerback AJ, might be just as good as his sibling. Abney II is a major sleeper, as he has huge upside but needs refinement.

Now, to one of the best groups in the 2026 NFL Draft: Safety

By this point, we all know that Downs is a generational prospect, but positional value is causing him to drop in mock drafts. He is a top-three player in this class, no questions asked. Your top five safeties listed all could have a case to be taken in the top-50, and I would be on your side.
