The Dallas Mavericks may be without multiple key players in Friday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Dallas Mavericks face a challenging road test against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night, but their lineup could be significantly depleted. Heading into the final stretch of the season, the Mavericks have released an injury report featuring eight players, headlined by rookie sensation Cooper Flagg and starting center Daniel Gafford.

Flagg, the highly-touted newcomer, is listed as probable with a left wrist sprain and is expected to suit up. However, the frontcourt takes a major hit with Daniel Gafford listed as doubtful for rest, potentially missing his third straight game. The injury woes deepen as key rotation players Naji Marshall (left hip contusion) and P.J. Washington (left elbow sprain) are also doubtful, likely sidelining them for the Texas showdown.

The Mavericks' bench depth will be further tested, with Brandon Williams (illness) and Caleb Martin (right plantar fascia sprain) also carrying doubtful tags. The team will definitively be without star guard Kyrie Irving and promising big man Dereck Lively II, both of whom have been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

With a 25-55 record, Dallas will need others to step up as they look to bounce back from a recent loss to Phoenix. Tune in Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET to see how the short-handed Mavericks fare against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs in San Antonio.
