Connor Zilisch is gearing up for a monumental weekend at Watkins Glen International, a track that holds both triumph and heartbreak for the young driver. At just 18, Zilisch claimed his first O’Reilly Auto Parts Series win here in 2024, but last year’s victory celebration took a dangerous turn. After going back-to-back, an accidental fall in victory lane—his foot caught in the window net—sent him head-first into the pavement, breaking his collarbone. The injury required surgery to insert a plate and over 10 screws, sidelining him from last year’s Go Bowling at The Glen Cup Series race.

His Trackhouse teammate, Shane van Gisbergen, stepped up to win that Cup race in dominant fashion. But Zilisch bounced back quickly, returning to Daytona weeks later and hasn’t looked back since. Now, he’s ready for a triple-header weekend that tests his endurance and skill across three NASCAR series.

This Friday, Zilisch will join van Gisbergen in the Truck Series’ Bully Hill Vineyards 176. Saturday, he’ll compete in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Mission 200. And on Sunday, he’ll finally get his shot in the Cup Series’ Go Bowling at The Glen. It’s a packed schedule, but Zilisch is taking it in stride.

"It’s certainly different, but at the same time you’re just trying to make a race car go fast around a racetrack," Zilisch said. "As a race car driver, that’s our job, and that’s what we get paid to do."

Still searching for his first win of the season, Zilisch couldn’t imagine a better place to break through than Watkins Glen. "I’m looking forward to getting to run all three series and hopefully making it Sunday this time around," he added.

For fans, the action kicks off Friday at 4:30 PM ET on FS1 with the Truck Series. Saturday’s O’Reilly Series race airs at 4 PM ET on The CW, and the main event—The Go Bowling at The Glen—goes green Sunday at 3 PM ET on FS1. Whether you’re cheering from the stands or watching at home, this is a weekend you won’t want to miss.
