The Conneaut Eagles boys volleyball team delivered a commanding performance on Friday, sweeping Crawford Christian Academy in straight sets (25-18, 25-14, 25-12) in a non-region matchup. The Eagles soared from the first serve, showcasing a balanced attack that left their opponents scrambling.
Leading the offensive charge was Nick Garcia, who powered through with 16 kills while also contributing three digs, two blocks, and an ace. Not to be outdone, setter Owen Moore orchestrated the offense to perfection, dishing out 34 assists and adding six digs and two kills of his own. Alex O’Grady was a force at the net, racking up 10 kills, four blocks, three aces, and an assist, while Robert Gowetski chipped in with five digs, two kills, and an ace to round out the Eagles' well-rounded effort.
The win improves Conneaut to 7-5 overall, and the team is already looking ahead to their next challenge. On Thursday, the Eagles will hit the road for a crucial Region 1 showdown against the Saegertown Panthers—a game that promises to test their momentum and depth.
