Como are making moves in the transfer market once again, and their focus remains firmly on Real Madrid's talent pipeline. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side has identified Real Madrid Castilla's Cesar Palacios as a prime target to fill the void left by Nico Paz, who is set to return to the Bernabeu this summer for €10 million.

Palacios, a 21-year-old midfielder, has been turning heads with 14 goals in 40 appearances for Real Madrid's B team. He's now being eyed as a potential replacement for Paz, the Argentine attacking midfielder who has impressed during his stint with Como. Real Madrid are expected to activate their buy-back clause for Paz, bringing him back to the Spanish capital at the end of the season.

The move has been all but confirmed by Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti, a longtime admirer of Paz and a former teammate of his father, Pablo. "He'll return to Madrid," Zanetti recently stated, putting an end to speculation about Paz's future.

But Como aren't stopping there. Head coach Cesc Fabregas has been vocal about his desire to bring in more promising talent from Real Madrid, following the successful acquisition of defender Jacobo Ramon last summer. The 21-year-old centre-back made the switch from Madrid to Como, with a buy-back clause included in the deal—a clear sign of the strong relationship between the two clubs.

Beyond Palacios, Como are also keeping tabs on other young prospects, including Valladolid's Chuki and Eintracht Frankfurt's Fares Chaibi. With Fabregas at the helm, Como are clearly building a squad that blends experience with youthful ambition, and Real Madrid's academy remains a key source of that potential.
