Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis wants fans to know one thing about him: "I am sneaky athletic."

The seventh-round pick (223rd overall) from Rutgers made the declaration with a confident smile after a recent practice at the team's Ashburn facility. When ABC 7's Natalie Spala asked what he wanted people to understand about his game, Kaliakmanis didn't hesitate before repeating himself for emphasis.

"There's some plays in college where you see it," he explained. "But I can move a little bit too, for sure."

Pressed on his confidence, the rookie doubled down, noting he even "hurdled a couple of people in college." A quick look back at his time with the Minnesota Gophers confirms the claim—the young quarterback does have some serious ups.
