The Colorado Eagles beat the San Diego Gulls 3-0 in the Game One of the First Round Series of the Pacific Division in the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs.
San Diego was their own worst enemy in the game as the Gulls put themselves on the penalty-kill four times with the latest one occurring towards the end of the second period. By the time that PK had expired, the Gulls had given up 18 shots on goal with seven of those coming in all penalty-kill situations combined, including one that winded up being the game-winning goal.
With a 2-0 lead, from then on the Eagles took complete momentum and finished the game outshooting the Gulls 10-4. San Diego never stood a chance.
