Colorado men's basketball officially saw two former players depart their program on Sunday. Following Sebastian Rancik's commitment to Florida State, forward Bangot Dak announced his new home as well.

Dak committed to Vanderbilt, a very solid SEC program, following three seasons in Boulder. The 7-foot junior became a fixture in the Buffaloes' starting five the past two seasons. In 30 starts this year, Dak averaged 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 25.7 minutes. A big problem with Dak's game was his rebounding numbers, which, for a 7-footer, were nowhere near the production you would want from a player of his size.

The Commodores have made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances under coach Mark Byington. Former Colorado assistant Rick Ray, who coached Dak in Boulder, is on Byington's staff in Nashville.

Dak was a three-star prospect in the 2023 class ranking as the No. 58 power forward in the country. He has one year of eligibility remaining and chose Vanderbilt over Oregon, Miami and SMU.
