Mohamed Salah has reached an agreement to end his Liverpool reign one year ahead of schedule.
The Egyptian King signed a two-year contract extension in 2025 - taking up to 2027 on a reported £400k per week. However club bosses will rip up that contract this summer - leaving the 33-year-old free to choose his next destination.
It’s a sorry end for Salah’s Liverpool career - following a season in which his form dropped and he fell out with club bosses.
It’s been speculated that Salah could be on his way to Saudi Arabia or else MLS as his next move. The Public Investment Fund in Saudi Arabia remains intent on bringing Salah to the region.
Clubs like Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad are all reported to be in the running for Salah - with Al-Ittihad reputedly ready to offer Salah around £1.67m per week.
Al-Qadsiah - coached by Brendan Rodgers - could also make a play for the legendary forward.
Another option for Salah is to renew his partnership with Sadio Mane at Al-Nassr as well as become a teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo.
OKAZ is reporting that Al-Nassr manager - Jorge Jesus - has offered his approval for Salah’s signing. However there remains the question of the coach’s own contract extension - which must be drawn up before the signing plans are finalised.
“Jesus definitely wants to sign Mohamed Salah, but the issue of renewing the coach’s contract must be resolved first, as negotiations are currently underway between the club’s management and Jesus,” the report reads.
“There are other factors to complete the deal, including Al-Nasr management's final position on the deal in light of potential competition with more than one Saudi club, and also Salah's decision regarding the club whose jersey he wants to wear.”
