The Clemson Tigers are heading back to the big dance, securing the No. 2 seed in the Athens Regional of the 2026 NCAA Softball Tournament. With a 32-20 record, the squad will travel to Georgia for a showdown against No. 3 seed UNC Greensboro (42-17), a team that's proven tough all season.

The regional action heats up as host and No. 10 overall seed Georgia Bulldogs (38-18) take on No. 4 seed Charleston (30-28). It's a bracket full of promise and pressure, with Clemson eyeing its fourth super regional appearance in program history.

This marks the sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance for the Tigers—a remarkable feat for a program that only launched in 2020. The only year they missed was their inaugural season, cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, they've been a force to reckon with, consistently proving their mettle on the national stage.

Clemson enters the regional after a solid regular season, finishing ranked No. 22 in the D1 Softball poll and No. 24 in RPI. They went 13-11 in ACC play, earning the No. 7 seed in the conference tournament, though they fell to North Carolina in the opening round on May 6. Despite that setback, the Tigers are hungry and ready to bounce back.

Leading the charge are two All-ACC honorees: pitcher Sierra Maness and outfielder Taylor Pipkins, both named to the third team. Their leadership will be key as Clemson looks to make noise in Athens and keep their postseason dreams alive.

The ultimate prize? A spot at the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, running from May 8 through June 4 or 5. For Tigers fans, this is a chance to gear up and show their support—because every game counts when you're chasing a championship.
