College Performance: Frustrating is probably the word Clemson fans would use to describe Woods’ time with the Tigers. His performance in 2023 was Freshman All-American worthy and he followed it up with an excellent 2024. Then 2025 happened. Inconsistent is the polite description of his junior year. There were good moments, but too often Woods either disappeared or didn’t seem to be putting in the effort. It left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth even with the great moments.

NFL Projection: There is a lot of love for Woods, with some anonymous coaches saying he’s the best DT in an admittedly down year for DTs. But everyone is concerned about his up and down production in 2025. What is interesting is how so many of the scouts and coaches the media has talked to mention that he’s near the ball, but he’s just not athletic enough to finish plays. If Woods does that he may become the disruptive force we’ve all been hoping for.
