Inter Milan took another confident stride towards the Serie A title with a commanding 3-0 victory over Cagliari at the San Siro, a performance that left coach Cristian Chivu praising his team's joyful and ambitious style of play.

After a tight first half, the Nerazzurri broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute when Marcus Thuram tapped in a Federico Dimarco assist. The floodgates opened moments later as Nicolò Barella rifled in a second, before Piotr Zielinski sealed the win in stoppage time with a ferocious strike into the top corner.

With the win and Como's defeat, Inter have now mathematically secured a top-four finish and Champions League qualification for next season. Chivu, who had ironically downplayed the Scudetto chase last week, acknowledged the achievement with a smile. "I was being ironic last week, but not joking, so we're very happy," he told Sky Sport Italia.

The coach was particularly pleased with how his team elevated their game. "We had a few problems in the first half, we moved it too slowly," Chivu analyzed. "After the break, we spread them wider, pushed the forwards up, and raised the intensity. When this team breaks the deadlock, it starts to enjoy its football and go for more ambitious moves. This is a team with quality; they are great players and they enjoy themselves on the pitch."

Despite the dominant performance and the ever-closing gap to the title, Chivu continues to resist outright celebration, keeping the team focused. When asked if he could see the belief in his players' eyes, he quipped, "I don't see their eyes often, as they are always looking down at their phones."

The result underscores a season built on both relentless results and expressive football, a combination that has Inter fans dreaming of a Scudetto celebration in the very near future.
