The Kansas City Chiefs executed a savvy trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers to land the No. 161 pick in Round 5 on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft.
The move, which came just before Kansas City was set to be on the clock with the No. 169 selection in Round 5, marked the second time that Chiefs general manager Brett Veach has completed a trade over the last three days.
While fifth-round picks rarely play important roles in NFL systems during their rookie seasons, Veach must have felt strongly about the talent available in the middle of Day 3.
Details about the trade are scarce, but given Kansas City's willingness to negotiate for the No. 161 pick, fans should be able to look forward to an exciting selection.
Stay tuned to Chiefs Wire to find out who Veach will decide to take with Kansas City's newly acquired draft choice.
