The Chicago Bears continue to build around third-year QB Caleb Williams entering the 2026 NFL Draft.

DJ Moore is in Buffalo, so an early pick on a receiver can't be ruled out despite Chicago doing so in the last two drafts. The Bears could use a pick or two along the offensive line to fortify the depth in front of Williams.

Defensively, the Bears still need to find a quality pass rusher opposite Montez Sweat.

Analysis: Thieneman was the clear No. 2 safety on film, stamped by good numbers in the pre-draft process. He can play centerfield and move around too at 6-0 and 200 pounds. This is a phenomenal need-meets-value selection.
