Chelsea are getting stuck in to their job of finding a new manager, and there are a few major contenders getting mentioned a lot.

The likes of Xabi Alonso and Cesc Fabregas are the most popular options with the fans, but there are major question marks about whether they would come to the club. They both have their pick of the top jobs in Europe, and Chelsea are far from the most tempting.

One man who will take the job if offered is Andoni Iraola. The Bournemouth boss is a free agent this summer, and Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke has today written that sources have told him that the Basque is “showing a strong interest” in taking over at Stamford Bridge this summer.

He too will have tempting offers, but perhaps not quite on the same level as his fellow Spaniards. That gives Chelsea a chance, but is also why some fans have their doubts about the former Rayo Vallecano manager.

Premier League legend Gareth Barry pointed out that Liam Rosenior never had a chance to get rid of the players who were undermining him.

Barry also looked at the Chelsea dressing room situation in terms of Cole Palmer, and how it might be making the attacker consider his future.
