As Chelsea prepare to face Manchester City in the FA Cup Final this Saturday, an unprecedented wave of fan frustration is set to make history—not on the pitch, but on the walk to Wembley. For the first time, supporters are planning a peaceful protest against their own club's ownership, even after reaching the sport's most prestigious domestic final.

Organized by the fan group Not A Project CFC, the demonstration will see thousands march down Wembley Way before kickoff, voicing their discontent with the BlueCo ownership led by Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly. While reaching an FA Cup final is typically a moment of pure celebration, this protest underscores the deep disillusionment felt by Chelsea's faithful. Many believe the club is being run as a financial venture rather than a football institution, a stark contrast to the Abramovich era, which brought not only trophies but also heavy investment in the local community and academy.

"I know it will look strange to some—you reach the FA Cup final and it's a sign of success," said lifelong Chelsea fan David Cook, 34, one of the protest's main organizers. "But this is about how the club is being run. This is our club, we are passionate, and we support our team. We want it back. Visually, it will have a huge impact. We hope to make an impact big enough that potential BlueCo investors can see what's going on."

The protest is just the latest in a series of fan actions. Next week, during Chelsea's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur, supporters plan to turn their backs in the 22nd minute—a symbolic gesture marking the exact time the current owners took over in 2022. The message is clear: while the team fights for silverware on the field, the battle for the club's soul continues off it.
