Chelsea fans, get your passports ready! The Blues are heading east for an exciting preseason tour this summer, packing four high-profile friendlies into less than two weeks across Australia and Southeast Asia. With the World Cup in North America wrapping up, it's going to be a whirlwind of football action—and Chelsea are making sure they're front and center.

The tour kicks off in Sydney, where Chelsea will face Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday, July 28 at Accor Stadium. Just days later, on Saturday, August 1, the same venue will host a London derby against Tottenham Hotspur—a clash that's sure to get pulses racing Down Under. From there, the Blues head to Hong Kong for a showdown with Italian giants Juventus on Wednesday, August 5 at the brand-new Kai Tak Stadium. The tour wraps up in Jakarta on Saturday, August 8, where Chelsea will take on AC Milan at GBK Stadium.

It's been a while since Chelsea last touched down in these parts. The club's most recent visit to Australia dates back to 2018, during the early days of the Maurizio Sarri era. Before that, the Blues made a post-season stop in Sydney as Premier League champions under José Mourinho in 2015. Speaking of Mourinho, it was under his watch that Chelsea last visited Jakarta in 2013, thrashing a local all-stars selection 8-1. And Hong Kong? That's a trip down memory lane to 2011, when Chelsea won the Premier League Asia Trophy under André Villas-Boas.

While these long-overdue visits are a treat for fans across the region, the timing—right after a World Cup—adds a layer of complexity. With the 2026-27 season set to kick off on August 22, there's still a chance Chelsea could squeeze in another friendly at Stamford Bridge before the real action begins. For now, though, it's all about the summer sun, new horizons, and building momentum for the season ahead.
