Chelsea signed Pedro in a deal worth up to £60m from the Seagulls and he made an immediate impact at the Club World Cup.

The Brazilian scored in both the semi final and final, and carried that form into the start of the Premier League season.

However, towards the end of Enzo Maresca’s time in charge Pedro went through a dip in form and the goals dried up.

Following the arrival of Rosenior he’s been on fire, and is arguably the only player to have majorly improved under the 41-year-old.

Pedro has scored 14 league goals this season, and is just one away from hitting 20 goals in all competitions, which would be a great achievement for his debut campaign.

Rosenior believes Pedro can become one of the best strikers in the world if he continues this trajectory, and the 24-year-old believes he’s having one of the best seasons of his life.

“I think it’s one of the best seasons of my life,” he told Chelsea’s website.

“I think the expectations from me were high, so I try to keep my mentality always forward to help my team-mates.

“If I don’t score in one game, Reece [James] and my team-mates come to me and say, ‘Joao, you’ve got to score in the next one!’. I’ll try to keep my stats as high as possible.”

Chelsea are believed to be closing in on a deal for Strasbourg midfielder Valentin Barco, who’s reportedly agreed a six year contract.

Barco could be a replacement for Enzo Fernandez if he leaves in the summer, and if the deal does go through he’ll follow Emmanuel Emegha and Mamadou Sarr in swapping Strasbourg for Chelsea.
