Charles Oliveira has nothing but contempt for the haters out there who have accused him of sullying the BMF belt with a safe performance.

Oliveira blanked Max Holloway on the scorecards 50-45×3 at UFC 326, taking the BMF belt off “Blessed” with ease. A lot of fans were impressed with the ease “Do Bronx” took down Holloway and threatened finishes for five rounds. Others saw it as a betrayal of what the BMF belt is supposed to represent: two of the baddest motherf–kers standing and banging.

Now Charles is responding to those critics who were upset he didn’t let Max bang, bro.

“If I’d stood and traded with Max Holloway like I did in other fights and got knocked out, what would you have said?” Oliveira told CasinoHawks. “I know: ‘Stupid as f–k, not using his jiu-jitsu.’ Because when I got knocked out by [Ilia]Topuria, everyone said the same thing: ‘Stupid as f–k, all he had to do was grapple.'”

Oliveira did indeed come into his UFC 317 fight against Topuria too confident in his stand-up, and that cost him via first round knockout. He learned his lesson, and now all those people who said he should grapple are upset he did that against Holloway.

“How do you want me to fight?” Oliveira continued. “Pick one way and stick to your word until the end. Because the same people who criticized me when I lost saying I was stupid as f–k are criticizing me now because I used jiu-jitsu. Truthfully, it’s a bunch of clueless people with nothing to do, who haven’t got the guts to get up and wash a pair of pants or underwear, and stay online talking rubbish. That’s the reality.”

“Do Bronx” made it clear that he won’t be swayed by the unwashed masses and their desire for raw blood and guts spectacle.

“Today, MMA is for the man who thinks, for the man who studies,” he declared. “For the clever one who knows what he’s going to do so he doesn’t make mistakes. If you make mistakes, you end up getting screwed. If you look at the big names, the elite guys, they talk about the great show, the art, the movement, the way it was done.”

“Then you look at the ones criticizing, the ones talking nonsense: they haven’t won f–k all, done f–k all.”
