The Chargers are shuffling their roster in the wake of their rookie minicamp.

The Los Angeles Chargers are making moves fresh off their rookie minicamp, adding three new faces to the roster while trimming down in other areas. On Tuesday, the team announced the signings of tight end Johnny Pascuzzi, safety Myles Purchase, and offensive tackle Laekin Vakalahi—each bringing a unique path to the NFL.

Pascuzzi, an undrafted free agent out of Tulane, joins the Chargers' tight end room after a solid college career. Purchase, who went undrafted last year, has already bounced between the Chargers and the New York Giants, and now gets another shot to stick in Los Angeles. Vakalahi's journey is the most unconventional: a former rugby player from New Zealand, he entered the league through the NFL's International Player Pathway program and previously spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles. His raw athleticism and size make him an intriguing developmental project on the offensive line.

To make room for the newcomers, the Chargers waived linebacker Niles King, tight ends Tanner McLachlan and Thomas Yassmin, and cornerback Jeremiah Wright. With training camp on the horizon, these roster shuffles signal the team's continued evaluation of depth and potential as they build toward the upcoming season.
