The Los Angeles Chargers may not always deliver on the field, but their social media team consistently brings the heat—and their latest schedule release video is no exception. This year's edition, inspired by the video game Halo, takes playful jabs at both the New England Patriots and their new head coach, Mike Vrabel.
The Patriots segment is titled "Conquer the Cupcakes," a cheeky nod to what many believe is a relatively easy schedule for New England in 2025. The video doesn't stop there—it also pokes fun at Vrabel's ongoing off-field story involving NFL reporter Dianna Russini. A "Next photo dump 1 mile" sign appears, followed by a notification reading "NY Post sent you a message."
The clip ends with the Patriots crashing out of the Super Bowl, with players Drake Maye, Will Campbell, and Mack Hollins—referenced by their gamer tags "Drake Maye," "BigWillie66," and "FreeTheFeet13"—getting eliminated. Two other players, "okurrr_cardi" and "DaddyDiggs6," are shown leaving the game, nods to singer Cardi B and former Patriots wideout Stefon Diggs. A T-Rex also makes an appearance, seemingly targeting Campbell, whose arm length was a hot topic leading up to the draft.
The Chargers don't spare themselves from the humor, either. The wild card round portion of the video features a "Nothing to see here" screen—a self-deprecating reference to their 16-3 playoff loss to the Patriots in 2019. The two teams will meet again in Week 12 for a Sunday night showdown, giving the Chargers a chance to back up their social media banter on the field.
