The Ottawa Charge are heading back to the Walter Cup Final after a thrilling double-overtime victory over the Boston Fleet. Michela Cava delivered the game-winning goal just 1:12 into the second extra period, securing a 4-3 win and clinching the best-of-five semifinal series in four games.

This marks the Charge's second consecutive trip to the championship series, following last year's loss to the Minnesota Frost. They'll now await the winner of Monday's decisive Game 5 between the Montreal Victoire and the Frost.

The game was a rollercoaster from start to finish. Ottawa jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the second period, with Sarah Wozniewicz, Rebecca Leslie, and Brooke Hobson all finding the net. Leslie's goal came off a sharp-angle shot from Jenner that deflected off her skate, surviving a video review.

But the Fleet stormed back in dramatic fashion, scoring three goals in just 1:33 to take a 3-2 lead. Shay Maloney, Megan Keller, and Sophie Shirley each beat goaltender Gwyneth Philips, who still finished with an impressive 43 saves on the night.

The Charge tied it up before the end of the second period, setting the stage for overtime drama. After a scoreless first extra frame, Cava redirected a Katerina Mrazova shot past Boston's Aerin Frankel, who made 29 saves in a losing effort.

Notably, the Fleet had not lost three straight games all season before this series, but Ottawa's resilience proved too much after dropping the opener. The Charge now have their sights set on redemption in the Walter Cup Final.
