Big changes are coming for the 2026 Players Era Festival, and Alabama basketball is ready to make some noise once again. The Crimson Tide will head back to Las Vegas during the week of Thanksgiving (November 23rd) as part of an expanded tournament field. This year, the action gets a major broadcast upgrade, moving to ESPN after previous editions aired on TNT and TruTV, according to Field of 68's Jeff Goodman.

Here's what fans need to know: The tournament is doubling down on excitement with a new format. An 8-team bracket will tip off the week before, followed by a massive 16-team competition during Thanksgiving week. Alabama will be one of those 16 squads, giving them a chance to test their mettle against a stacked lineup.

Speaking of opponents, the Crimson Tide will face off against 15 other teams in Sin City. With Alabama eyeing its fifth straight Sweet 16 appearance, this tournament is a prime opportunity to build early-season momentum. After finishing as runner-up to Oregon in the inaugural 2024 event, the Tide started the 2025 edition with a tough loss to Gonzaga before bouncing back with wins over UNLV and Maryland. Expect a hungry team ready to prove themselves under the bright lights.
